Devil's Lake Campout; May 2009

We had a really nice weekend for this campout. The weather was great all weekend and getting to Devil's Lake a month later than usual was interesting. There were a lot more spring forest flowers around this year, due to being a bit later; mayapples, trout lilies and such. We also saw a lot more hawks and vultures than usual. We hiked all the way around the lake this year, instead of doing the West side both ways; it was an intersting trail on the East side. Brandon M. cooked for the outing and did a fine job of it.
